I'm offering a 5-session Memoir Writing course at the Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead Museum near St. George Ontario starting 

SATURDAY OCTOBER 19TH AT 10 AM EST

I invite you to join me for a morning of memoir writing on five Saturday mornings: 

Saturday, October 19th, 10-12 noon 

Saturday, October 26th, 10-12 noon 

Saturday, November 2nd, 10-12 noon 

Saturday, November 9th, 10-12 noon 

Saturday, November 16th, 10-12 noon

We'll meet at the Homestead at 10 am for coffee and chat before getting underway at 10:30. Whether you're thinking of starting or have your first few chapters in hand, come along for some expert help in crafting your stories.

How much? $40 per session. Payable in advance by e-transfer or at the door.

Your Instructor

Michael Williams, Ph.D. is an award-winning writer, professional storyteller, and the author of the ABCs of Storytelling: Reflections of a Story Coach. He is a certified Guided Autobiography Instructor associated with the Birren Centre for Autobiographical Studies and an accredited End-of-Life Planning Facilitator. He is also a seasonal lecturer of the "Storytelling as a Strategy in Innovative Design" for Glasgow University's Innovation School. He was the Senior Tutor in English at the University of Edinburgh and Principal Teacher of English at the Edinburgh Rudolf Steiner School. Dr. Williams has a particular interest in autobiographical and memoir and legacy writing.


Dr. Williams is a member of the Storytellers of Canada-Conteurs du Canada, the Hamilton Mountain Writers Guild, the Burlington Storytellers Guild, and is the 2024 Creative Writer in Residence at the Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead Museum, St. George Ontario. He also volunteers as a facilitator of a story circle at the Bob Kemp Hospice and at the Wellington Retirement and Long Term Care Facility in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
